Mommy, I’m sorry.
How did I know
you were suffering silently?.

Your touch, your warm voice and your smile
Will always be with me.

This is a tribute to you and
all mothers of the world
from each of your children.

We love you!

MY MOMMY IS BEAUTIFUL

MY MOMMY IS BEAUTIFUL is a tribute
to all Mothers of the World
from each of your children;
A celebration of the love that nurtures us all.

WHAT TO DO

Upload your mother’s photo to
our Facebook groupFlickr group, Instagram or Twitter.
Add the tag #mmib.

Write her name
a note about her, to her and to yourself.

If it gets to be a love letter,
a poem or a very long message
or as long as a novel (!)
that’s fine.

Make sure to squeeze her with big hugs and kisses in your mind
and send it with a sprinkle of  i ii iii

My mother was a first time mother at 21 years old when I arrived. My Mama has been the literal source of pure love for my entire life. Her pregnancy was riddled with problems but I grew up to be a healthy, happy kid and adult. She never realized how beautiful she was as a new mother or perhaps that's her southern modesty. She is a credit to her own mother, who passed when she was was just 27 (and a new mother of two little boys). Through it all, she never let her two kids know her pain of loss. Coocoo.
